Audi has introduced a completely new, fourth-generation A3 Sportback model. Will the car repeat the market success of its predecessors?

Designed from scratch, the car now measures 4.34 m long, 1.82 m wide and 1.43 m high. Thus, it is longer (3 cm) and wider (3.5 cm) from its predecessor, but the height and wheelbase (2.64 m) remain unchanged.

The novelty is, in particular, the matrixled heated daytime running lights and-a powerful air intake with its typical manufacturer's chrome-plated Singleframe frame. Dynamic character is given by silver-lacquered bumper moldings or-passing through the center of the hood-relief. The side projection is dominated by strongly defined wheel arches, a small glazed surface, and subtle-chrome and silver-additions such as window frames or railings.
Initially, European buyers will have a choice ofthree engine options: a 1.5 l petrol TSI (150 HP) and a 2.0 l diesel TDI in two power options (116 or 150 HP) - All drives have front-axle wheels. A six-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard. On request, the new Audi A3 Sportback can also be ordered with a seven-speed DSG transmission.
